Bantam Cochin
This compact breed is a feathered ball of love. They are very personable and happy to sit in your lap and follow you around.
Hens reliably lay small, cream colored eggs. Roosters are proud little fellas but content with a cuddle. Crowing is minimal.
Available in Birchen (striking white heads and iridescent black bodies) and Black Mottled.

Standard Cochin
One of the largest chicken breeds and by far the fluffiest, these gentle giants are a family favorite.
Imported from China in the mid 1800’s, they are primarily exhibition and pets. Hens reliably lay small, cream colored eggs. Roosters are friendly and crowing is minimal. The breed is cold hardy.
Available in blue, black and splash.
Chicks and Hatching Eggs will be available again in Spring 2026
The blue rooster won 1st place and the black rooster won 2nd place at the Charles County Fair in 2024.
Ayam Cemani
An exotic bird from Indonesia, the breed is rare but gaining in popularity. They are completely black.
